Algernon Sidney (1840-1863)
He was rhe only son t die during the Civil War. While studying to become a doctor, he left school to fight in the war. He was killed by a sniper at Vicksburg in May of 1863
Moses Liddell (1842-1907)
He stayed with his father in Texas. He later married a lady form Natchez, Mississippi, named Jane Justine Connor in 1873. They had ten children and lived close to Nottoway at Blythewood Plantation. Moses died when he lost the plantation to debt and left the family.
John Hampden Jr. (1844-1919)
He fought in many of the violent battles of the Civil War. In 1873, John was married to Sarah Walker and had three children with her. He studied history and mechanical engineering at Louisiana State University.
Peter Everett (1857-1899)
He was the youngest. Peter was never married and died in St. Louis, Missouri.
